Terhalle chooses Euromate: clean air in wood production
Terhalle Holzbau GmbH, a leading company in sustainable and circular timber construction for nearly 40 years, has taken an important step in protecting the health of its employees. The family-owned business, with more than 620 employees, recently invested in seven DFI-Series air cleaners from Euromate to effectively combat wood dust and fine particulate matter in its production halls.
“Our employees are always at the heart of what we do,” says Managing Director Ludger Wittland. “If people work for us for many years, they should also be able to retire in good health. Clean air is essential for that.”
Challenge: Fine Dust and Fire Safety
Fine dust had been on Terhalle’s agenda for some time, but the installation of a new fire alarm system made quick action unavoidable. Safety Expert Clemens Gesenhues explains: “The smoke extraction system indicated that there was too much dust in the air. That was the moment to act.”
Solution: DFI-Series from Euromate
At the LIGNA trade fair in Hannover, Terhalle was introduced to Euromate’s DFI-Series. The decision to invest was made quickly thanks to:
-
Effective fine dust reduction up to 90%
-
Easy installation without major structural modifications
-
Smart technology with the Air Safety Portal for remote monitoring and control
“We can clearly see the difference: less dust in the halls and a much cleaner fire alarm system,” says Gesenhues.
Result: Healthy Workplace and Lower Costs
In addition to healthier air, the DFI-Series also delivers significant savings: up to 70% lower cleaning costs, up to 40% less absenteeism, and reduced energy consumption.
Wittland: “We are very satisfied with Euromate’s guidance. This investment not only contributes to the health of our employees, but also supports our commitment to sustainable and responsible business practices.”
